Blockmancer privacy policy

Effective 18 October 2026 · Version 1.0

In short

  • Blockmancer has no account: we never ask for your name, email address or a login.
  • Your game (saves, progress, settings, purchase) is stored on your device.
  • The game uses Google services (Firebase, AdMob) for statistics, crash reports, ads and notifications, and Apple or Google for purchases and leaderboards.
  • Ads are personalised only if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.
  • We never sell your data.

Who is responsible

The data controller for Blockmancer is Elie Tabet. Contact: eliebtabet@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

The game stores the following on your phone or tablet only. It is never sent to us:

Your phone’s own backup (iCloud, Google) may include this data, under Apple’s or Google’s terms.

Services that process data

Blockmancer has no server of its own. The services below are provided by Google and Apple, which act as our processors or, for their own services, as independent controllers.

Firebase Analytics (Google) — game statistics

Data
Events from the game (a run started or ended, its score, jokers picked, rounds, revives, worlds unlocked, ads shown, purchases, rating requests) and what Analytics collects by itself: an app instance ID, device model, system version, app version, language, country or region (worked out from your IP address, which Analytics does not keep), session times, first launch and in-app purchase events (product and price). The advertising ID is not collected, and Google signals are off.
Why
To understand how the game is played, balance it and spot problems.
Legal basis
Your consent where the consent form applies (European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland): if you decline, Analytics is told so (Google’s consent mode) and stops storing an identifier for you. Elsewhere, our legitimate interest in improving the game.
Kept for
Event data is deleted after 14 months.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash reports

Data
When the game crashes: the error trace, device model, system version, app version, free memory and storage, screen orientation, time of the crash and a Crashlytics installation ID.
Why
To find and fix crashes.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in a game that works.
Kept for
90 days.

Firebase Remote Config (Google) — game settings

Data
A Firebase installation ID, the app’s ID and version, language and country, sent when the game downloads its settings.
Why
To adjust the game’s balance, how often ads appear and update notices without releasing a new version.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in keeping the game balanced and up to date.
Kept for
Google keeps the installation ID while the game uses it; see Firebase’s privacy page.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notifications

Data
A push token and a Firebase installation ID that let Google deliver a notification to this device. We never receive the token.
Why
To send occasional announcements about the game.
Legal basis
Registering the token: our legitimate interest. Showing notifications: your consent, given or refused in your phone’s notification permission.
Kept for
Until the game is uninstalled or the token expires from lack of use.

Daily reminder — local notification

Data
None leaves your device: the reminder is scheduled on your phone.
Why
To tell you that a new daily run is ready.
Legal basis
Your consent: the game asks for notification permission after your first daily run, and you can switch the reminder off in Settings.
Kept for
Until you switch it off or uninstall the game.

Google AdMob — ads, with Google’s consent form

Data
Your device’s advertising ID (on iPhone, only if you allow tracking), IP address, device and app information, how you interact with ads (shown, clicked, rewarded ad watched to the end) and your consent choices, which the consent form stores on your device.
Why
To show ads (the optional ad to revive and an occasional ad between runs), measure them, prevent fraud and, only with your consent, personalise them.
Legal basis
Your consent for personalised ads and for storing or reading information on your device, asked by Google’s consent form in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, and on iPhone by Apple’s tracking prompt. Without it you get non-personalised or limited ads, which still use some data (such as IP address and device) to deliver, count and protect ads.
Kept for
Set by Google: see how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

The Remove ads purchase stops the ads between runs. The optional ad to revive stays.

In-app purchase — Remove ads (Apple App Store, Google Play)

Data
Apple or Google handles the payment and your store account. The game only receives confirmation that Remove ads was bought, stores it on your device and checks it with the store when it starts.
Why
To deliver your purchase and restore it.
Legal basis
Performance of the contract (your purchase).
Kept for
On your device until you uninstall the game. Apple and Google keep their purchase records under their own terms.

Leaderboards — Game Center (Apple), Google Play Games

Data
If you are signed in: your Game Center or Play Games player ID and nickname, and the scores the game submits (daily run, best run). Other players see your nickname and score on the leaderboard.
Why
To show leaderboards.
Legal basis
Performance of the service you choose by signing in. You can play without signing in.
Kept for
Kept by Apple or Google under their own terms; the daily leaderboard resets every day.

When you email us

Data
Your email address, your message and what the game fills in when you use Settings → Send feedback (app version, build, device model, system version). You can edit it before sending.
Why
To answer you.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in answering your request.
Kept for
Until your request is handled, then up to 3 years.

The rating prompt is your system’s own (Apple or Google decides whether it appears, and your rating goes to the store, not to us). Links to this site and to the store open in your browser or store app.

Your choices

We don’t sell your data

We don’t sell or rent your data, and we share it with no one other than the services listed above.

Transfers outside the European Union

Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, United States) and Apple (Apple Distribution International, Ireland, and Apple Inc., United States) may process data outside the EU. These transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for companies certified under it, and on the Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and French law you have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, to withdraw your consent at any time, and to set instructions for what happens to your data after your death.

To exercise them, email eliebtabet@gmail.com. We answer within one month. Because Blockmancer has no account, we usually cannot link data to you; we will tell you what we can do.

You can also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr.

Children

Blockmancer is not directed at children. Its age rating is shown on its App Store and Google Play pages. We don’t knowingly collect children’s data. In France, if you are under 15, ask a parent before answering the consent form. A parent who thinks their child’s data was collected can contact us.

Deleting your data

Security

Data sent by the game travels encrypted (HTTPS).

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page with a new date and version number.
